On July 4 Weekend, the Meadowlands Environment Center is open Saturday, July 3. On Sunday, July 4, and Monday, July 5, the MEC will be open for restroom-use only.
MEC weekend hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The William D. McDowell Observatory will be open Monday, July 5, weather permitting. Check the website here for details.
Because of long-term storm damage, DeKorte Park's Marsh Discovery Trail and part of its Saw Mill Creek Trail are closed. We appreciate
your patience.
Note: We now have 90-minute guided walks on the Marsh Discovery Trail at noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. See post below or click here.
It's such a beautiful area, I hope it gets cleaned up well.
